1960 Ford Starliner front view

The 1960 Ford Starliner series was done for the new AMT/MPC kits being re-issued in 2008. It was intended to look like vintage artwork from the early 60's. John Greczula's finished box layout convincingly captured the graphic designs of the time. This front view shows the kit in stock form painted aquamarine. The kit includes the small hubcaps so they were rendered instead of the full wheel covers.

The rear view needed to show the custom option. It was painted Yosemite Yellow and has five spoke mags and side pipes.

This illustration was intended to highlight the super detail the kit has. The chassis can actually be built this way. Brad's idea was to show this feature rather than paint the engine only for the box side. Aquamarine was chosen as the color to tie in the cover art and give it the look of an original sales brochure illustration.
